Life feels like a roll-a-coaster. There is a long slow ride up to the top. The gears grind slow, and it is hard to get there. Then all of a sudden there you are on the top. WOW, what bliss! Then......Wham......Something happens, words spoken, or not spoken, and down you go crashing to the bottom.
Lord, help me to take the roll-a-coasters in life in stride. Walk with me and help me up. I can't do this on my own.

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us...Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." Romans 8:18, 23-29
May the trials we endure strengthen our faith and perseverance as we wait in hope for your return, Lord Jesus. Even so, come quickly, and redeem us from this fallen nature and remove from us all corruption. Strengthen the arms that hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for our feet. Put a song of praise in our mouths as we praise You for Your goodness to us and for Your precious promises. We thank You, Lord, that You have chosen us as precious and dearly loved in Your site, and that You do not leave Your beloved comfortless, but have given us Your Holy Spirit to guide, protect, comfort, and heal us. Continue to saving work you have begun in our hearts, Lord, until we come face to face with our precious Savior. In Jesus' holy Name! Amen.
Thank you Nicole. I needed that. I have been reading and digesting this everyday for the last few days.
