Life as I know it......

I should write something.

There are lots of things going on.

ummm....The high lights maybe????

OK.....Mr. and Mrs. H. are in a nursing home. Not sure how long they will be there. But they are there right now.

Gabe is able to be home more this week. He is finally catching up on his sleep.

I went Shopping all day yesterday with my sisters and Ayla. We had a great time and I found lots of great bargains. :)

Lots more I could add and I could elaborate on all of that but........Maybe another day. :)
Off to enjoy my family.

Now I got it.
Uggg.....
I found out the 2 Ibuprofen makes a girl feel MUCH better. :)

Don't take the headache away....But the throat does not hurt so much.

I did manage to get all the dirty clothes washed, hung out to dry, folded and put away.
But that's all.

Now we are sitting with Mr. H. The children are filling their heads with fluff, Mr. H. went to bed, and I am blogging. :) Hopeful Gabe will be able to get home before the Ibuprofen wears off.

God has blessed me with a wonderful neighbor. Yesterday I took Jay to the Dr. in Tallahassee, then went right down to P.C. to sit with Mrs. H. I had hung up some wash on the line before I left in the morning. When I got home at 8:30 pm, my wash line was empty and the clothes were all folded in the basket by the door. My dear neighbor was my clothes folding angel. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful neighbor.

Jay

Jay is sick again. We came home last night because he was running a fever and all. I just could not leave him overnight. ;( He sounds like he has a potato in his throat when he talks. Uggg....Just like last time. We will see how today goes.
Pray that we will have wisdom is caring for him. Know what we should do and when. And that he would get all better.

God has blessed me with a home to live in. I have a roof over my head that does not leak. I have running water that is drinkable. I have lots of space to store all that stuff I do not need. I am blessed today by my home. Are you??

With Love

Today I am off to spend the day with my Love. We are going to PC to spend the night. We will have to stop in and see Mrs. H. too......But at least we can to it together. I am really looking forward to it.

Pray for Jay......He is very tired today. He says his throat hurts when he swallows. ;( They are going to be at Grandmas for the next 2 days. They NEVER get enough sleep there. He is under strict orders from MOM to take a nap every day and get to bed early. (hear that Mother!) :)

Blessed by God........

Hard times.

Endurance Produces Character

“Can I just try it once?”

Nancy Leigh DeMoss: It seems like some children like to press every issue.

“But why, Mom?”

Nancy: They just can’t accept the answer that you give them.

“But, Mom . . .”

Nancy: Too often we can approach our Heavenly Father the same way.

“Wait a minute—listen, listen . . .”

We forgot that God allows us to go through hard times for a purpose—to train us, to mold us into the image of His Son, and to develop godly character in us.

That’s why the apostle Paul could say, “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance character, and character hope.”

Have you been resisting some circumstance God’s brought into your life? Why not say, “Lord, I receive this as from Your hand. Use it to mold me and make me into the image of Jesus.”

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss.

Open the Door

Open the Door

Nancy Leigh DeMoss: Why do you spend time reading the Bible and praying?

“Well, I’m afraid if I don’t, God’ll be mad at me. Then He won’t help me when I really need it."

Nancy: The purpose of a daily devotional life isn’t to get on God’s good side, but it is to develop a relationship with Him.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”

Eating a meal together is a symbol of friendship and fellowship. The kind of friendship God wants with you.

The purpose of our devotional time isn’t to check another thing off our to-do list. It’s not some sort of heavenly homework assignment. The purpose is to sit down and spend time with the Lord to commune with Him—to develop a relationship with Him.

Have you taken time to develop that kind of friendship today?

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss.

Life as we know it......

Well......That was a rather long weekend. I am so glad to have it over. I missed my house and my internet. AHHH......The internet?!?!? I am so hopeless addicted to the internet. One of these day I will set myself a time limit on how much time I spend on here. I know that I would be able to get lots more done around that house if I did that. And my children would probably like it too. :blushing in shame here: Pray for me that I will be able to get a handle on this.

Anyway......Today was a good day for school. We got double lessons done. YEAH!! This evening I have to get the house cleaned up again. Tomorrow we have sewing circle, and in the evening I have to go sit with Mr.H. again. Just will 6:00 am. Every other day all week I will have to do that. Gabe is here part of the time. He will go in at 6 in the morning then I will go after sewing circle. I don't know what the other days will be like, but we will work with it as each day comes.

Mrs. H is still down in P.C. Please pray with us that she will be able to get a room here in town at the Rehab. It would make our lives much less complicated. She is doing fairly well with her therapy. Some days she does really good and others, like today, she does not want to do it. She just wants to do it her way. She is always trying to get out and escape that place. ;)

God has blessed me with a wonderful friend. Often times just when I need it she will send me a e-card or a note. Last night I was so frustrated with life and in the process of checking my e-mail I found a e-card from her. It blessed me so much. So today, I am thankful for my friend. I know that what ever I go though she will be there to walk with me and to lift me up in prayer. Thank you my dear friend.

Gabe

Gotta make this short. I have to head over to the H's. I am going to be sitting Mr. H till Monday morning.

We had a great couple of days with Gabe. One day we took a long walk, and the other we went to the beach. It has been good.

Tootles!!
